Having lived in Nigeria for a while, I had the opportunity to witness preterm births that could have been saved through utmost care. Being a preterm child, my mom told me of how scared she felt as I was often ill and infection-prone. Thus, I have always dreamt of being an obstetrician; one that is able to soothe a mother's fear and pain away.
